Norfolk Coast: This photograph was taken at Bacton, Norfolk during a particularly stormy couple of days in the summer (2006). The picture was taken when the tide was in, to gain maximum effect of the waves crashing against the sea defence. I had taken a few photos the previous day from the shore line but I wanted to take the image at 90˚ so that when looking at the photo you would feel closer to the waves. There was a jetty going down to the water from the sea wall and I decided that this would be the best viewpoint. When the tide came back in, the weather took a decided turn for the worse, which created the right elements for this photograph. I remember being too slow at avoiding the swell and got well and truly soaked before I could make my escape!
