Another subject which seems to lend itself to my style of painting. Beach scenes are always very popular. I think they are tied up for most of us with childhood memories of carefree holidays at home in the U.K. Although as someone who has lived in East Anglia for the last 30 years, I love places like Southwold and Aldeburgh, my paintings are not supposed to represent any particular place. They simply try to conjure up that happy, 'seasidy' feeling.
